Founder: Shawn Roberts founder of Salty Vacation Rentals in 2015 is kicking up sand in the vacation rental industry with a new approach. He offers and markets a curated list of family-friendly vacation rental properties that get his company’s stamp of approval,
and it’s not an easy approval to get. Shawn keeps a list of benchmarks a property must meet in order to be deemed truly family-friendly (hint: it’s much more than a highchair shoved in the back of a closet!)
What Shawn Cares About: Shawn don't like the words used as guest or host he believes his business should lean more towards friends instead of a guest. When you leave the unit you will find that Shawn has become a friend to you forever not just some ole host. He went into the vacation rental business remodeling his vacation units so that you would feel more comfortable like you was at your on relaxing home. He just wasn't happy with a resort, motel, hotel type setting and he wanted to give a homey and clean vacation experience for everyone occupying his units.
Targeting An Audience. Shawn knows his audience well, because he’s one of them. And his entire website is shaped around targeted families who want to have the best vacation possible with their crew.
